WELCOME TO CENTRAL COAST LACROSSE!!!!
We are extremely excited to announce that for the first time on the Central Coast, there will be a recreational lacrosse league available this Fall. The league is open to ALL adult lacrosse players.
Games will be played on Sunday afternoons and evenings, beginning on September 25th and running through December 4th (with a couple of weeks off due to holidays and other events).
The format of the league will be much like the summer leagues that many of you have participated in around the state, such as the UCSD Summer league. After registration, we will divide all of the participants into teams based on positions and experience, and then team lineups will be posted on the website. Teams and exact game times will be announced on Saturday, September 24th.
Team numbers will be capped right around 22 players to insure everyone gets plenty of playing time. We are expecting 4-6 teams for this inaugural session. Games will consist of 20 minute running quarters with a 5-10 minute half time, for a game time of right around 90 minutes. All teams will also have a half hour of field time immediately prior to the start of the game.
We will play a 9 game season with playoff games on the last date of the season to determine the inaugural Central Coast Lacrosse champ.
Registration for the 2011 Fall Season of Central Coast Lacrosse season will cost $80 per player, a lower per game charge than most summer leagues. Registration fees will go toward field and lighting costs, insurance, referee fees, etc. and will allow us to develop Central Coast Lacrosse into a regular event available to ALL lacrosse players in the San Luis Obispo area.
All games will be played at the Damon-Garcia Sports Complex at the corner of Broad Street and Industrial Way in San Luis Obispo. The games will be held on Daryl Damon field (the upper field).
Help us spread the word! The season is coming up very soon, so if you know of any former lacrosse players from Paso Robles to Santa Maria and beyond, let them know that they finally have a chance to play the fastest game on two feet right here on the Central Coast.
