Central Coast Lacrosse and Cal Poly Men's Lacrosse are pleased to announce the 2014 Holiday Camp for youth boys. The Holiday Camp will be held at Los Ranchos Elementary School in San Luis Obispo on Monday, December 22nd and Tuesday, December 23rd. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
The camp is geared toward boys from 9-16 years old who have at least a limited amount of experience playing the game, such as the YMCA’s youth league from earlier this year. Players are required to supply their own equipment and should be interested in improving their individual skills and understanding of the game in anticipation of the spring 2015 youth league.
The 2014 Holiday Camp is being coordinated and led by Marc Lea, the Head Coach of the Cal Poly Men’s Lacrosse team. Coach Lea will be assisted by other members of the Cal Poly Men’s Lacrosse coaching staff, as well as current Mustang players. Central Coast Lacrosse will insure that all campers receive plenty of individual instruction and will maintain a very low player-to-coach ratio of approximately 8 to 1.
Central Coast Lacrosse, Cal Poly Lacrosse, and the YMCA have joined forces to bring a free youth lacrosse clinic to San Luis Obispo on December 6th, 2014. The clinic is geared to prepare both new and experienced players for the upcoming youth lacrosse season coming in Spring 2015.
The SLO YMCA will again be coordinating the youth lacrosse league as we move into our second full season of youth lacrosse on the Central Coast. CC Lacrosse will be supporting the efforts of the YMCA as they continue to provide an opportunity to play the fastest game on two feet and the newest youth sport in the area. Please note that the league is being organized by the San Luis Obispo YMCA, but is open to players from across SLO County and northern Santa Barbara County.

The Spring 2014 and Summer 2014 lacrosse leagues coordinated by the San Luis Obispo YMCA have marked the first organized youth lacrosse to take place on the Central Coast. The growth of the sport in our area has led to media coverage from a number of different outlets.

ARE YOUR CHILDREN INTERESTED IN PLAYING LACROSSE IN SAN LUIS OBISPO
OR OTHER AREAS ALONG THE CENTRAL COAST???????
We are trying to connect with all of those interested in learning to play the “fastest game on two feet”. Contact Central Coast Lacrosse today and stay updated for details on upcoming clinics and other events!!
Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the United States. In the past decade, participation in youth lacrosse has skyrocketed throughout California, and the game is now played across much of the state, from Sacramento and the Bay Area to Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego. The Central Coast is one of the last regions of California where youth lacrosse is unavailable.
Central Coast Lacrosse is gearing up to change that, and is working to bring youth lacrosse to San Luis Obispo and the rest of the Central Coast, from Paso Robles to Santa Maria, for the first time. With the involvement of the entire Cal Poly Lacrosse coaching staff, including long-time head coach Marc Lea, CCLAX has held several youth clinics in fall 2012 and spring 2013 and is hoping to develop a youth league by spring 2014.
If you are interested in participating, please contact Coach Lea and indicate your child's age, grade, and hometown as we need to gauge all potential interest in order to structure this developing youth league.
